Hotel Doria Amsterdam

Breakfast was fantastic. Our rooms were well laid out, small but as expected for central Amsterdam, and very bright and clean. Street noise wasn't an issue and the added bonus of an elevator was amazing. Staff were always so friendly and helpful. Everyone I was with said they'd definitely stay there again.

Very central hotel with most of the staff very helpful . We did meet one woman who wanted to charge us more than had been agreed previously because according to her our 10 year old daughter who is tall should be charged as an adult.

I was a bit pessimistic after having read some of the reviews online but this proved unfounded.Room was small but perfect for just sleeping if you have other business in Amsterdam. Room and hotel are old and slightly worn but clean enough.Beds are small but nice. Double windows so that cancelled out most of the Amsterdam noise. I did bring ear plugs so I could leave the windows open for some fresh air at night. Ventilation is minimal, especially for size of the room. So being able to keep the window open was very welcome.Hotel has a couple of narrow passage ways as you might expect from a building right in the centre. As it's no more than 25 metres from the Dam, you can't get anything closer for this price. Perfect for exploring the city.Breakfast is a buffet, items plentiful and fresh.Is this a luxury hotel? Definitely not. Is it good enough to explore Amsterdam? Definitely!

The waitress was so rude!!! I don’t recommend this place!!there's a red-haired girl who at least seems to be interested in her job! the others don't even look at you, they bring you food in bad ways

DO NOT STAY HERE. Tiny room. Slanted ceiling making it even smaller. Hallways all the way up to top floor smelt like pizza from restaurant below. Staff was rude at front desk. Very expensive for what you get.

Alle eerst ben ik even rustig aan het kijken naar de menu kaart, krijg ik in 5 minuten, 2x de vraag of ik nog eyen ga bestellen. Ik bestel uiteindelijk een coca cola en een penne bolognese. Eerst krijg ik de coca cola, het kwam niet eens in de buurt van coca cola, voor 5 euro nag je wel een echte coca cola verwachtten toch? Dan komt mijn penne dat is geen bolognese maar een pesto. Ik geef aan, ik heb bolognese besteld ze zeggen dat is niet zo. Uiteindelijk word de vrouw boos en zegt oke je hebt gelijk ik lieg. Ze ging het voor mij omruilen. Ze komt terug met een pasta bolognese, ik geef aan dit is de verkeerde ze zegt ik ga geen nieuwe brengen. Pasta had ook geen smaak maar dat wilde zij ook niet horen. Einde van het liedje, geen service, geen lekker eten, en geen echte coca cola. Ik kom hier nooit meer!

Great location. Good breakfast included. Very convenience walking distance to Central station (less than 10 minutes).Restaurants and fastfood are a available right out side. For location, this is the best.

Inexperienced service took ages to finally get to us, and when they did come to us the woman didn't understand what split meant, oh, also did I forget to mention that they made my group pay for our food before it even came which made us all very concerned and uncomfortable as this is not normal practice. Once the food did finally arrive (40 minutes later) the pizza was undercooked and thin, whilst the foaccia was thin and burnt. Will not be coming again.Service: slow and inefficientFood: depressing and doesn't represent the priceQuality: leaves much to be desired.Never coming back

Staff is very welcoming and helpful. Rooms are small and in need of refreshing. Breakfast is very basic but gets the job done. Location is the main selling point. Close to train station, public transport, major tourist locations.

Can’t say much about the hotel, never stayed there. I have visited the restaurant many times and this place is good value. I particularly like the spinach lasagna. Staff is good with many long serving members. Prices are reasonable and they have good terrace seating on damstraat. Not Michelin quality but good food and budget friendly.
