Geweldige ervaring! Leuke groep met veel gemotiveerde surfers, goede surfinstructeurs en veel tijd om van de prachtige Costa Ricaanse natuur te genieten. Jonne en Marthe zijn fijne gastheer en vrouw.Ben twee keer mee geweest met de Costa Rica retreat, en ga zeker nog een keer mee.

This was the first surf retreat to I went on, so going into it I didn’t fully know what to expect…Mokum surf camp was everything I imagined and more! I’m still a beginner at surfing, and the wave breaks we went to were absolutely perfect to learn on (friendly waves, no big crowds, beautiful atmosphere). Marthe and Jonne were so welcoming, genuine, and you could tell are so connected to and loved by the small Pavones community. If you are looking for good surf, amazing community, and yummy food, I’d definitely recommend Mokum surf camp. Thank you Marthe and Jonne <3

Amazing surf en yoga experience! I went on their Costa Rica retreat to focus on my surfing skills and I learned so much. Especially the video analyses were really helpful. There is really relaxed yoga every day focused on the surf muscles. The accommodation was just perfect, with one of the best views I have ever seen. The food and hospitality are spot on and the group vibe is great.

If you’re browsing the internet for a surf retreat, you can stop now!Mokum Surf Club treated us to one of the best trips I’ve been on in my adult life. The week was jam packed full of adventure, surf, yoga, amazing food and fun with new international and local friends. The surf coaches they hired were extremely knowledgeable of the local area and were very accommodating.I saved money for a year to go on this trip, and it was the best decision I could have made. They even made an effort to cook food that went along with my dietary restrictions (nut allergy). Thank you for an amazingly wonderful time. Costa Rica was a blast! I look forward to seeing what other retreats you have in store.

An Amazing 5 Star Surf Retreat experience ! Can't even decide on what to start with as i would need too much posting space for this ,but i can say this much: all the trip is planned in detail and you will be checking the best food (fresh and with local flavors) , best surf spots for your level , a really good surf coach that knows the local waves better than you can book your daily commute :)) We stayed in the middle of the lush jungle, surrounded by amazing noises and some unique animals and birds , within one of the most biodiverse countries on this planet ! Practiced yoga smelling the tropical rain , went on a fun boat trip to some more amazing surfing waves and enjoyed ice cold drinks watching some of the best sunsets of my life.Will just leave some photos here so you can see how Paradise actually looks like, but can guarantee it feels way better in real life! As i am writing this review i am already packing for my next trip with Mokum <3 YOU GUYS ROCKS!

If you're looking for an unforgettable retreat, I highly recommend booking a trip with Mokum Surf Club in Costa Rica. My recent experience with them was absolutely amazing.From the moment we booked, everything was smooth and easy. We decided to rent a car in San Jose and drive down to the retreat ourselves, which was an adventure in itself. The last part of the drive, from Pavones to the Mokum Surf Club house, was simply breathtaking. We drove along a dirt road with the sea on one side and palm trees everywhere.The accommodation was top-notch. We stayed in a villa in the mountains that was within walking distance of the beach. The view was incredible and we woke up every morning to the sound of wildlife. There's nothing like starting your day with a cup of Costa Rican coffee while taking in the beauty of the natural surroundings.The program was well-designed and offered a perfect balance of surf and yoga time, as well as opportunities to relax and enjoy the stunning nature around the accommodation. The highlight of the trip for me was the horse riding tour with cowboy Wilbert. It was a truly unique experience that I'll never forget. Wilbert is a master of the area and knows all the best spots. The views from the horse are simply stunning, and the horses themselves are easy to ride.As an inexperienced surfer, I was a bit nervous about the surfing part of the program. But the instructors were excellent and helped me gain confidence quickly. By the end of the first day, I was already surfing smaller waves. It was an incredible experience that I'll never forget.Overall, I highly recommend Mokum Surf Club for anyone looking for a unique and unforgettable retreat in Costa Rica. The combination of surfing, yoga, and nature is simply unbeatable.

I will never forget the experience I had with Mokum Surf Club!This retreat was fantastic! The hosts Marthe and Jonne are so nice, and everything was so wel organized. If you have any questions about Costa Rica and it’s best places they can sure tell you all about it.The retreat was held at a house on this amazing hilltop overlooking the beach and Its endles ocean. Sleeping here was just fantastic, all the rooms had airconditioning and the beds where just like at home! In the morning you will rise by the sounds of the jungle and maybe even be visited by a small family of monkeys!Starting my Mokum Surf Club retreat I had zero surfing skills but don’t worry they got you covered! The local surf coach knows all the best places for every level of skill. I started out on a very large (soft top) surfboard but in a couple of days I was on a hard board riding some pretty awesome waves!One of my favorite experiences with MSC was horseback riding. In the early morning Wilbert (the local ranger) will pick you up and take you on this long ride into the mountains. Wilbert knows everything about it’s flora and fauna and will show you the best spots like the waterfall where you can have a shot of tequila and go for a refreshing swim! Going back down you will arrive at the beach and go full gallop!Thanks Marthe and Jonne, hope to see you in January!

My two nature loving friends and I booked a round trip to Costa Rica with Mokum Surf Club (MSC). I had heard great things about them and how their years of experience in Costa Rica could help us make the most of our trip. And they didn't disappoint!From the moment we arrived in San Jose, MSC took care of everything. Our off-road 4x4 car was waiting for us, and we were ready to start our adventure. We wanted to explore Costa Rica's rich biodiversity and natural beauty, and MSC made sure we experienced it all.One of the most unforgettable parts of our trip was fishing. MSC's experienced guides took us to the best spots to catch fish, and we had so much fun! We reeled in some of the most delicious fish, which we later enjoyed for dinner. We also went on a boat trip that took us to some of the most remote and inaccessible areas of the country, where we saw animals and landscapes that few people ever get to see.MSC arranged a horseback riding tour that took us through picturesque trails surrounded by lush forests, crystal-clear rivers and we drank homemade coffee with the indigenous people. It was a magical experience, and we loved every moment.We stayed in some of the most unique hotels in the country, thanks to MSC. Each hotel had its unique style, and we loved the special touches that made each stay unforgettable.We learned about the country's culture, nature, history, and traditions, and how it has become a global leader in conservation and sustainability. We returned home with a new appreciation for Costa Rica and its inhabitants.In conclusion, our trip to Costa Rica with Mokum Surf Club was an unforgettable experience filled with adventure, nature, education, and fun. Their years of experience and expertise ensured that we had a hassle-free and enjoyable trip. I had the most incredible time in Costa Rica with Mokum Surf Club! The southern region where the travel agency is based is undoubtedly one of the most lush and green places I have ever seen. It was such a joy to experience it for myself with two of my friends. The retreats offered by Mokum Surf Club were perfect for our group, and we all had a great time learning to surf. The surf lessons were of great quality, and I learned so much in just one week.While all the activities we did were amazing, my favorite experience was the horseback riding trip with Wilber. It was an absolute thrill to ride a horse through the jungle and on the deserted beaches between Costa Rica and Panama. The views were breathtaking, and I will always cherish that memory.As avid birdwatchers, my friends and I were hoping to see some magical birds in Costa Rica. We were not disappointed. The view from our villa was perfect for birdwatching, and every morning we would wake up early to the sound of howler monkeys, and other wild animals, and sit in the garden with a delicious cup of Costa Rican coffee. We spotted so many Scarlet Macaws and other colorful birds, it was a truly memorable experience.Overall, our time there was the trip of a lifetime. The landscapes were stunning, the people were so friendly, the wildlife was incredible, and the experiences were unforgettable. My partner and I had a wonderful time on the Mokum Surf Club retreat in Costa Rica. It was chalk full of adventures and memories we will never forget! The retreat was extremely well organized and we ate amazing food with newly made friends throughout the trip. They even helped me celebrate my birthday by decorating the house and making me an ice cream cake! It was truly a wonderful trip and I would highly recommend it for anyone who knows how to surf or would like to learn. It makes an amazing couples adventure. A huge thank you to Marthe and Jonne! We would absolutely love to join another retreat in the future. :)
