Very warm and welcoming place! The lake and nature nearby is lovely as well.

Had a great stay! Room was large enough, service was great, too - I was very cordially received. Reservation was no problem, the hotel's owner even orgaised a rental bike.Besides that, there's free tea and coffee in the room, as well as a TV and wireless LAN included. Pricing's fair in my opinion. Definately can recommend Huis van Steen!

A wonderful welcome awaited us at Huis van Steen. Marion was a a superb hostess and couldn't do enough for us. We will not forget her hospitality and kindness. So so family friendly. A most interesting place to stay with a wonderful display of African sculptures and an amazing garden. Our breakfast was delicious with so much choice. Thank you Marion.

It was very bad experience!!!The room and environment are much smaller than the pictures, and the scenery is not good! The check-out time was not reminded when I was check in. the check-out was two hours late the next day. No one came to knock on the door or call to remind, but there was no phone available in the room. When checking out, the service staff was very unpleasant and said what to do if the person who cleaned the room when you checked out late had already left. After paying the extra fee of 25 euros, the attitude was very bad, put the documents on the table and turned around and left...

Thank you to the host for being such a kind hearted and helpful lady.. the place is situated around big greens of garden and cycling paths take you from there to wherever u wish in lelystad.. rooms are clean and comfortable.. quaint peaceful area.. definitely worth more than they're priced.. breakfast is good too.. thanks again.. had a great one night there..

Perfecte locatie bij Bataviastad.Wij hadden de familiekamer gereserveerd ( €144, exclusief ontbijt)Dit zijn twee slaapkamers met een badkamer.De kamers waren heel klein en heel erg gehorig.De bedden lagen goed en de douche was ruim van opzet.Helaas de slaapkamers niet. Het zijn eigenlijk qua formaat twee compacte 1 persoonskamers.In de kamer met het tweepersoons bed slaap je met je gezicht onder het gordijn. Niet zo prettig. Verder bijna geen ruimte. De badkamerdeur moet dicht anders kun je je bed niet in of uit.Ook hoorde we gedurende de avond, nacht en vroege ochtend iedereen die buiten de trap op of afliep, de buitendeur en de pratende gasten. Hierdoor bijna niet kunnen slapen.Je kan tussen 17:00-22:00 u inchecken maar dat wisten wij niet. Dat was ons bij boeking niet verteld. Jammer.Gezien de vraagprijs is kwaliteit - prijs niet in verhouding.

Weinig ruimte, te duur , als je 1 keer draait in je bed hoor je al en al gebonk.

Gorgeous place, lovely scenery surrounding it and nice stylish decor. The hostess Marion is very friendly, welcoming person who will do anything to make your stay enjoyable.

Such a homely bed and breakfast. There is the personal touch with the Lady in charge being on hand to provide bit of history to the place. The rooms were beautifully laid out and neat. The suburb is quiet and laid back. There are sculpted art located around the whole property. The property is Africa themed and it is simple but nice. I would want to return.
