Agreeing with a lot of the other reviews over here, Yiwen is an excellent teacher and has tailor made her program to help you know the basics to be tourist in China! The one to one lessons for the last 6 months have been fun but still intensive..my friends and colleagues are impressed with the progres I've made. Definitely recommend over group lessons as you learn what you need/want and you will make a lot more progress. 再见！

Yiwen is a great teacher. She’s very skilled in teaching Chinese in plain English and makes the lessons very personal and tailored to your preferences and background. Highly recommend for anyone from complete beginner (like I was) to more advanced levels.

Yiwen is a very enthusiastic and energetic teacher with great command of the underlying principles and grammar of the Chinese language; She is able to clearly explain how newly taught grammar works. Additionally, her lessons are a lot of fun due to her outgoing character. For every level of Chinese I would recommend her as a teacher.

I have been taking weekly Chinese lessons with Yiwen since more than a year now. She customizes each lesson according to your level, pace and need. She also provides you with and recommends you the useful resources to enhance your learning besides lessons and home works. Overall it's been a great experience learning from her.

If you want to learn Chinese, seek no longer. Simply because of the lesson quality is that great and it is a lot of fun to learn. You will get customized homework that is designed by your needs. Yiwen also has very flexible times so it is very easy to find a gap in your schedule to come to her lessons. Yiwen is also very easy going and eager to teach you the correct and definitely the fun way the Chinese Language. I can't say this enough, I would highly recommend her for everyone who wants to learn Chinese.

I have been following Chinese lessons for 1,5 years now. Yiwen has a very structured approach to teaching. She is patient, but able to challenge you when required. She is flexible as I am also able to bring up to topics myself. Yiwen’s teaching style and her great sense of humour have made my lessons highly informative and very enjoyable. Highly recommend!

Yiwen’s lessons are exactly what I was looking for. She has the patience and perfect understanding of how to teach, how to build up in difficulty, and how to keep me motivated. I’ve had 56 lessons right now, and I can have very fun and long conversations with her, 100% in Mandarin! We move in the pace I need, and we discuss topics related to my everyday life. I love to go to her every week, it feels like going to a good friend :).

Yiwen is een ontzettend enthousiaste en vrolijke lerares en weet dit perfect over te brengen in haar lessen. Het lesmateriaal kan precies op jouw wensen worden aangepast en haar manier van lesgeven is heel prettig. Yiwen is een fijn persoon die de tijd neemt en je stimuleert om het beste uit jezelf te halen. Ik ga elke week met veel plezier naar haar toe!
