Loved every minute at Dona! All courses are amazing in both taste and presentation. My favorites were the duck with rice and the dessert…but honestly, each course was tasteful and so, so good. The owners really show passion and love for what to do…as if stepping into a nice, warm living room where you never want to leave. Definitely an experience everyone should try!

Super cozy restaurant, Dona offers homy feeling with dishes served in large pans that you would want to lick all the sauce off like in your grandma’s house. The set menu offers 4 courses and you can add extra dishes if you feel like it, we had the clams cooked in white wine sauce, garlic and coriander, perfect to start a meal with a glass of bubbles. Service and ambiance were great, it’s the perfect place for a date night. I am sure the grandmothers of Dona would be proud of this spot in town.

Bizar lekker gegeten en gedronken! Elk gerecht heeft zo ontzettend veel smaak! Prachtige locatie, sfeervol ingericht en service alsof je er al jaren komt. Echt een aanwinst voor Amsterdam. Wat doe je hier nog? Reserveer! :)

Heerlijke en verrassende Portugese gerechten, met zorg & passie bereid en geserveerd. Een intieme plek voor een culinair avondje genieten, je gaat hier ongetwijfeld met een grote glimlach weer weg!

In love with this new restaurant and concept. The food is absolutely amazing, you feel it is made with love. I will definitely come back since the food is so different, delicious and unique than any other restaurants in Amsterdam. I came with a friend from Portugal and she said it brought her back memories from what her mom and grandmother used to make for her. I think that that just sums up the 5 stars here :)

De Portugese gerechten, de aankleding, de ambiance en vooral de mannen die het runnen zijn fantastisch bij Dona. We hebben een hele gezellige avond gehad en bovenal heerlijk gegeten! Echt een aanrader!

Heerlijk Portugees eten. De service is super en er worden heerlijke wijnen geserveerd. Ik droom soms nog van het hoofdgerecht met eend en de pulpo was zo mals, smullen!! We gaan gauw weer eten bij Sjors en Diogo.

Great restaurant, wonderful atmosphere and tasty food. I enjoyed the way they deliver a special evening, different from other restaurants.The Portuguese four-course menu is very surprising. I ate things I wouldn't normally order myself. They put a lot of effort into the authentic dishes. The explanations about the food and the special wines they chose themselves complete the experience.Highly recommended, beautiful evening and we would love to come back!

This was my favorite meal from my most recent trip to Amsterdam. Everything was top notch. Wonderful food, great wine pairing suggestions, and perfectly timed courses. The atmosphere is cozy, and the owners, Sjors and Diogo, are so friendly and obviously passionate about their cooking. This was really a treat for me, and I can't wait to bring friends and colleagues when I return. :)
