Hostel ROOM Rotterdam

Leuk hostel, goed gelegen vlakbij de Erasmusbrug.We hadden een (privé) familiekamer, de 'royal' room. Die zit in de 'toren' op de bovenste verdieping, met zicht op de Veerhaven.Opgemaakte stapelbedden, met een gepersonaliseerd welkomkaartje. En ook wel oordopjes... Doordat dit een historisch gebouw is, kunnen ze blijkbaar de ramen met enkel glas niet vervangen door meer (geluids)isolerende beglazing. Je hoort dus wel de geluiden van de straat (mensen, tram, verkeer). Dat is wat aanpassen de eerste nacht, maar de tweede nacht sliepen we er - moe van een dag Rotterdam ontdekken - gewoon heerlijk doorheen.Heel behulpzame en vriendelijke staf ook. Gezellige bar/ontbijtruimte beneden, waar de kinderen zich konden uitleven met de gezelschapsspelletjes en de (gratis) voetbaltafel.Ontbijt voor slechts 5 euro, met heerlijk brood van de plaatselijke bakker en een selectie strooisel en beleg (+ muesli, melk, sap, koffie of thee). Aanrader!Het is een hostel en geen luxehotel uiteraard, dus je weet dat de badkamer en het toilet op de gang is en dat de uitrusting basic is. Maar prijs/kwaliteit is het top. Fijne citytrip met onze drie kinderen beleefd, mede dankzij dit fijne hostel!

We hadden een prachtig verblijf met ons gezin van vier in de Clock Tower Room van het Hostel. De kamer ligt helemaal in de top van het gebouw (wel enkele trappen te doen), is uniek en je hebt een magnifiek uitzicht door de authentieke ronde industriële ramen. De kamer heeft zelfs een eigen klein privé-terrasje. De locatie van het hostel is handig gelegen: rustig maar toch overal dichtbij. De service was supervriendelijk en het personeel steeds behulpzaam. We hadden er ontbijt extra bij voor maar €5 per persoon en daarvoor kregen we heel wat in ruil: 2 verse ontbijtkoeken van de bakker in de buurt, beleg, yoghurt, koffie/thee en fruitsap.Een aanrader voor wie van een losse gemoedelijke sfeer houdt.We had a wonderful stay with our family of four in the Clock Tower Room of the Hostel. The room is located at the very top of the building (a few stairs to climb). It is unique and you have a magnificent view through the authentic round industrial windows. The room even has its own small private terrace. The location of the hostel is convenient: quiet yet close to everything. The service was super friendly and the staff always helpful. We had an extra breakfast for only €5 per person and for that we got a lot in return: 2 fresh breakfast cakes from the bakery nearby, spreads, yoghurt, coffee/tea and fruit juice.Highly recommended!

It's a really sweet hostel with nice staff and a good breakfast for only 5€/day. The people in the dorm we slept in (just women) were really nice and treated everyone respectfully. The toilets/douche get cleaned everyday and you are free to use the kitchen. The location is near the harbour, not too busy and it's a short walk away from the centre and the Erasmus bridge which connects the two parts of the city.

I like the blinds and night light each bunk has. Also appreciate I didn't have to make my own bed. Great aesthetic. Also, guy contacted me after I missed my check-in time to let me know it's ok and what the latest check-in is open is. Much appreciated.

This was a refreshing hostel after a dud. We immediately felt welcomed and the vibe was great. We only stayed one night in the private room Love." We used their do-it-yourself tour guide for Kinderdijk and would have otherwise not have visited there! Their breakfast is a bargain and really tasty!"

It's a nice hostel to stay at.The room, the bed and the bathroom was all clean. There is also a comfortable room where you can meet other guests and have a drink.The staff was very friendly and always ready to help.

Uitstekend hostel! Prima gelegen, sfeervol ingericht, vriendelijk personeel, schone kamers. Samen met vrienden afgelopen weekend hier verbleven en erg goede tijd gehad! Dikke aanrader dus!

Mooi gebouw. Modern hotel voor low budget. En een bijzonder huiskamer gevoel, die de gemeenschapsruimte oproept.Ijsje besteld en genoten van de rustige sfeer.Uniek in Rotterdam.

Stayed in the Tea Room for 3 nights April-May.- What I found Unacceptable:I paid for a 4 people dormitory, and when I entered in the room, there were 2 bunk beds and then an enclosed bed on the other side of the room. It's false advertisement and they are making more money with this 5 instead of 4 people scam (I paid for the 3 weekend nights 50, 40, 35 euro, booked 5months in advance)!- While the room is cute and decorated along the theme (tea cups on the walls, hanging from the lights), it's not the most modern building as the wooden floor creaks a lot.- 3 of the 4 metal luggage bins that went under the beds had either a broken or unusable bent hook (where you place your lock). I did luckily get a worker to fix it as soon as I arrived, but I think it's something they should routinely check and fix without being prompted.- Bathrooms worked, but the showers were not properly designed, with no shelves for shampoo and an area to keep your change of clothes (phones, and key) dry.- The kitchen is fine, the cooking plates are present only when the reception is open (it think 8:30-23), but there was a microwave, so that's fine.
