Great ambience, amazing smell of fresh breads and pastry. Coffee tonic is exotic and requires a special taste. Cappuccino is perfect with a nice croissant. The pastrami sandwich is nice, but try not to compare it to any in NYC. Staff is super friendly and they know their products.

Prima koffie, ook de broodjes waren opzich goed. Wel 3 a 4x van buiten naar binnen moeten lopen om zelf bestellingen op te halen omdat het een paar keer fout ging. Crossaint besteld, werd mij verteld dat er geen jam en boter was. Toen uiteindelijk toch wel een potje jam gevonden, uit een potje van huismerk Gewoon van de Dirk, werd voor mijn neus in een bakje geschept en of ik even een euro voor kon betalen, zonder boter dus. Bediening laat wat te wensen over, prijs dus erg hoog voor wat je krijgt

Great cafe where you can have a hot drink & eat as well as buy delicious bread. The hummus & avocado sandwich I had here was just delicious.There is a nice relaxed atmosphere here. Stuff is very friendly.You can sit on the bench at the window, in the central part of the cafe or at the large table at the back, under the large windows and surrounded by plants.Located centrally and easily accessible walking (also there is a bus stop close by).

La Maru has great coffee and freshly baked goods that are absolutely delicious. There’s a relaxing vibe here with music playing in the background but not too loud and the right amount of natural right streaming through the back sky lights. The two times we’ve been, the staff have been very friendly. Highly recommend.

Elke keer is het lekker genieten van mijn koffie. Midden in de drukke stad Haarlem, tot rust komen bij La Maru.Ik geniet heerlijk van mijn cappuccino. Een echte aanrader voor de koffie liefhebber en voor vertrek nog een espresso. De extra shot caffeine zorgt ervoor dat je er tegen de drukte kan.Mijn favoriete plek.

Love this place!The workers are super friendly and kind. They were patient and happy to translate/explain anything on the menu.The space was cozy but also large enough to not feel crowded. As well, there was plenty of space to do work on laptops and outlets for charging.Food was super declious and quite a large portion for the price.
