We really love this brilliant concept - it’s so nice to have a place in the city just for us parents.The labour department has a great selection of specialist items just for parents and workshops throughout the month.It’s certainly a great place to check out , and the owner Brooklyn is really knowledgeable and friendly.

A great place to get information on anything related to pregnancy and babies, and a lovely place to find a community of other Dutch and international parents in Amsterdam. Highly recommended!

The Labour Dept. is a great baby-friendly meetup spot for new parents to learn about parenthood. Brooklyn and the Labour Dept. teachers are knowledgeable, supportive and very welcoming to the community. They offer a variety of highly useful workshops for any clueless parent. I highly recommend it!"

Such a nice place to hang out for parents; there's a play area for kids; they also organize significant events for moms (and dads!) and have a fantastic shop where you can find everything from postpartum care to cozy PJs and excellent kids' books. I'm so glad such a place exists in Amsterdam.

Came for the Mama Hang, and will be back for more events! Before I even walked through the door, the owner had seen me struggling with soothing my baby outside, opened the door for me, and asked if she could help take my stroller inside. She whisked it away, came back, then offered to hold my baby while I took my coat off and made myself at home. These may seem like simple gestures but, as a new mom, I felt understood. Re: Mama Hang, it was comforting to share experiences with other mothers/mothers-to-be, and see all the other adorable babies in all their stages of life. Everyone was so open and friendly; I had a great time!

The Labour Department provides a much needed space and community for parents. Being a new parent can sometimes feel isolating and this space provides a haven to feel less alone in that experience. Every time I leave I always feel more connected to my fellow mamas. Definitely recommend!

The Labour Department is a wonderful space for parents, parents-to-be, and their little ones. The schedule is full of practical and fun events. Brooklyn, the owner, is truly building a community for parents - something many of us need, especially after becoming parents during covid. Highly recommended!
