Balanced Bodyworks

After trying at least 10 different massage parlors in Amsterdam, I ended up finding an expert in Balanced Bodyworks. I have cervical spondylosis in my neck and a host of other issues in my upper back stemming from that issue. Carrie seems to be the only person (in Amsterdam, if not the NL), who is both exceptionally knowledgeable about the muscular structure and the human body, and who can take care of you in a more holistic way. She was able help me with her massages. I got multiple therapeutic massages and relaxation massages and always felt great during and after the massages - they helped hugely with my pain and discomfort I always had in my neck and back. She blends her knowledge in eastern medicine with the conventional methods and offers the best experience. I am now a regular and make sure I get a massage from her atleast once a month. I very highly recommend her if you are looking for a wonderful experience!

Carrie is an absolute delight. She balances professionalm and friendliness so well... and she really helped me out with a debilitating neck pain - twice! She kindly explained the treatment and potential issues and gave me advice about preventing it in the future. The space was super clean and smelled great. I relaxed as soon as I walked in. Carrie is incredible. She is trained and experienced in a myriad of different techniques (including myofascial and neuromuscular release, lymphatic drainage, and different cupping methods) that she can use to release tension, muscle pain, swelling, and scar tissue. Seeing her for a massage is both enjoyable AND good for my body.

Absolutely loved my massage by Carrie. Having had issues with my shoulder for a while now, and having seen several therapists and experts, I was a bit worried I was going to have to learn to live with the pain. But Carrie treated me in such a way that I immediately felt more relaxed. The tension in my shoulder was a lot less and after a few sessions I could finally use my right arm more properly again.
