We had the 3 course Michelin menu. The food was fantastic, really refined and tasteful. With the 3 course that had 2 plates every course we had plenty of food. Service was good. Atmosphere could be a bit better. For a place that serves multiple dishes at the same time the tables were a bit small.

The service was spectacular and the food was truly a unique and delicious experience. There were definitely a few weird moments but there was also a sense of adventure and exploration to the food and flavors. I absolutely recommend people try this place out a few times and if you're adventurous don't be afraid to get the Michelin courses!

Voor het eerste gegeten bij Umami in Rotterdam. De experience is goed! erg relaxed sfeer binnen en buiten het restaurant (we zaten op het terras, omdat het erg warm was). Presentatie wise en ook de smaken dat elk gerecht levert maakt dit restaurant zijn naam zeker waar.natuurlijk heb ik niet alle gerechten kunnen proberen, maar je krijgt wel een indruk welke gerechten ik een beetje prefereerde. De Tussengang hebben wij persoonlijk niet genomen.Personeel is erg aardig en helpen je ook graageen leuk experience vanwege de kleine gerechten en dat je van alles en nog wat kan proberen (in plaats van dat je 1 bord met eten krijgt) kan het ook de Fine Dining" style maar ook wel goed betaalbaar."

We had the four-course preset menu alongside wine paring and some cocktails. All in all, we liked the experience and the food was satisfying in both taste and portion.Food at Umami is creative, some being a bit generic but some being quite tasteful. We really like the shrimp with tomato sauce, it really felt like a good fusion between Eastern and Western food. The potato and carrot was delicious, I wanted to ask for more.Wine paring was rather disappointing, or should I say we expected a little more. It was not bad paring but somehow didn’t enhance the food that was served. Maybe Asian food has too much character that the wine with it feels a bit off? Cocktails were fine, not too special. Go for Gin based cocktail and it’s safe.The service was good, staffs were attentive when needed. They didn’t pay special attention to each table but the service was smooth and everybody was kind and smiley. The atmosphere is not bad, although the acoustic made it difficult to understand everything. Also the entrance part of the restaurant has better lighting and inviting feel to it, compared to the ones we sat near the toilet.I think it is an interesting restaurant if you like trying different dishes with creative twist in it. Considering that it is a course meal, the price is also not too bad.

Just had dinner here a second time with a group of friends. Great evening with cozy atmosphere, tasty food and attentive service. Highly recommended for a fun date night or an outing with friends.Great Asian fusion restaurant with social dining concept. It even comes at a very affordable price. Great for a date or sharing all the dishes with a group of friends.Very professional and friendly staff in a quiet environment in the center of Rotterdam. Definitely worth a visit.The other locations are also great.

Umami by Han serves amazingly intricate Asian fusion dishes. We had three rounds where each of us ordered two dishes (sharing is recommended!).We absolutely loved each round especially the first one. All of the dishes are well thought out and taste incredible. In the last round you also get a portion of rice, so dinner was very filling!

What a fun place to have dinner. We really enjoyed the social dining concept, which allowed us to try almost all dishes on the menu. I would go for the Bib Gourmand menu and then select as many dishes as possible depending on your group size.It is also a great feature that those who don't drink alcohol, can get a tea pairing with the food.I will definitely be back.
