University of Maryland Global Campus - Volkel

I have truly enjoyed my time at UMGC, but my program coordinator, Lacy Babich, has made it more enjoyable by taking away some of the headaches I’d have to deal with if she was not here. I can tell she truly cares and wants to see people succeed. She is always willing to help no matter the time I know I can count on her.

The overseas UMGC office is invaluable to members in Volkel. The time difference between the my location and the school can make it difficult to get administrative assistance for processes crucial to my academic success.The on-site representative gives a connection to knowledge which enables me to not only be smart about my education decisions, but also keep me on track to achieve my goals in a reasonable time without wasting hours trying to contact offices outside of my area.I hope we have these positions in all of our locations. Educational success is not only important to the member, but also the Air Force at large. Without these people to help, people could very easily run into a multitude of problems.
