Koan Float

I waited 10 minutes before someone let me in, despite ringing the doorbell and calling the phone number. The staff seems really busy but very kind. The floating was a special experience and everything was clean and well explained. Pricey: €50,- for an hour

It was recommend that I try out floating to help with my anxiety, as it was triggered by me being hypersensitive to loud, crowded places. It was my first float, and it helped to relax me. It takes some getting used to, and maybe even a few sessions to fully relax, but if you're able to, it can quiet your mind.There's the option of having music play, have the air circulating, or keep the light on. I'd be a bit worried of getting in if you're claustrophobic, and if you have a small cut, make sure to put vaseline on.If you need some quiet away from the busy and loud, and just want to destress, I highly recommend.

Had an amazing experience here today. Was my first time. Beautiful place. Spotlessly clean. Attention to detail everything is there for you. The float itself was amazing. Think I need to go back a few times now I'm comfortable in the surroundings. Took me personally a little while to relax properly but once I did it was an incredible experience. I will definitely go again

Koan Float heeft een hele fijne en rustige sfeer! Ik voelde mij welkom, zen en werd ook gemasseerd door Amber Shireen. Zij heeft mij zo erg geholpen! Ze is super goed in de combinatie van fysiek en energetisch masseren. Na de sessie voelde ik mij verlicht op beiden vlakken. Ik kom zeker terug voor haar!

It’s an interesting experience. However for me was a bit too long 60 min. It’s a floating session in salty water. If you have any open wound, it’s better to wait , heal it and than come. High concentration of the salt will bring you pain. Before and after session you have you take a shower and you can use many items there to dry your hair or clean your make up. If you don’t like small spaces this is not for you . You can always regulate music, light & air. I feel relaxed and maybe for me suit me better 30 mins session.

Leuk om een keer te proberen maar ik vond het niet heel bijzonder. De algemene schoonmaak zou iets beter kunnen, er zit zwarte aanslag op de rubber randen van de cabines en het is stoffig op sommige plekken. Ook jammer dat je geen slippers krijgt voor die €47,50 en dat niemand naderhand vraagt hoe het is gegaan. Van tevoren werd alles wel goed uitgelegd.

De medewerkster die ons ontving voor het floaten was erg vriendelijk en dacht goed mee. Er is een hoop mogelijk en beschikbaar als je erom vraagt. Badmutsen/slippers/sloffen etc. Een begeleider kon mee de ruimte in als dat nodig was. Erg handig dat er iets aanwezig was om kleine wondjes mee af te dekken, en fijn dat er aan dingen als douchegel, shampoo, conditioner en deodorant gedacht was. Een goede uitleg van hoe alles werkt vooraf, en tussen de sessies door wordt er veel schoongemaakt (niet meer door dezelfde medewerker die mensen verwelkomt). Een prettige ervaring dus.

My first time in Amsterdam. I booked Kona 2 months in advance after some research as I love spa experiences.1) my iCal confused the times and put the timing of my appointment 1 hour later. I realised but I was 15 minutes late to my appointment. Our attendant was so calm and understanding, she let us know she will do her best to accommodate us….she did, we recieved our full hour. Even though it was our fault and not theirs.2) the feeling of weightlessness really released my back spasms, along with the magnesium salts3) I almost fell asleep and nodded awakeTip: use the ear plugs as it stops water going into your ears.My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed our experience and I will be recommending this to my friends when they visit.Thank you again!
