L'Antica Pizzeria da Michele
This is one of the best pizza places in Amsterdam. The pizzas are huge (some tables were sharing them). The fritto misto as a starter is also great. The espresso was impressive (Italian approved :). Finally you can really see the dedication of the staff working there. Overall highly recommend!

Dit plekje was een aanrader van een vriend en het was zeker geen verkeerd advies. Pizza’s was heerlijk, vooral de deeg.We zaten niet ver van de keuken en dus konden we een kijkje nemen in het hele proces. Was ook overduidelijk te zijn dat de kok echt plezier in zijn werk had. Dus de atmosfeer was ook zeer prettig.Zal daar nog wel eens heen gaan, dus raad ik dit plekje wel aan.

Originally found out about this place from TikTok, so of course I had to visit.The pizzas are absolutely amazing, I definitely consider this restaurant to be one of the best in Amsterdam (I'm from Amsterdam).The truffle pizza tastes really good, and I can recommend going for the buffalo mozzarella as an upgrade.The calamari, bruschetta, and drinks are also great! And to top it off, the service is 10/10 too. The waiters are extremely friendly.

Super tasty refined Neapolitan pizzas that are literally too large for your plate.Can't believe we accidentally ended up here thinking we queued for the pizza place next door. What a pleasant surprise.The melanza antipasto was great and their award winning mushroom tartufo is definitely a star. Heavy handed on the cheese on both so nobody is complaining. Tiramisu a bit soggy but full of flavor.The place itself is a narrow and long restaurant with tables under a roof of lemon tree branches making you feel like you're dining under the Italian sky.One big downer though. For some reason the loud and busy chatter of people eating and loud music were competing for the highest volume. This made it almost impossible to have a conversation.Service was extremely fast and efficient and the full staff was friendly at all times throwing smiles around to anyone they bump into.This place is packed constantly and there is a steady queue in the evening that was well worth the wait.

Great pizza. Super fast service too. We went to the sister restaurant in Naples (where Julia Roberts famously works in the kitchen in her spare time, as I understand) so had to try this place. Staff are friendly, singing songs etc.. really feels like a Sugo nostra type vibe.

Summary: great delicious pizza, but super loud music that irritated us.Details:Back in 2018, we tried Pizzeria de Michele and we fell in love with the simplicity and flavor of the ingredients.Amsterdam's branch lives up to the standards and the delicious pizzas that de Michele is known for.We ordered the Margarita & the Buffalo mozzarella pizzas & both were fantastic.Tip: we ordered two pizzas at the same time and they got cold very fast. I would suggest to order one at a time and share each to keep them warm.My only problem with the restaurant is the extremely loud music! It was beautiful seeing the staff happy and singing along the songs, but this experience was ruined by how loud the music was.

First let me tell you that the pizza here is HUGE!! They are thin crust so it’s not excessive, but it will take a lot of effort to eat a whole pizza. They food is wonderfully favored but that pales in comparison to the service. The young blonde lady working outside for the evening shift on June 21 was exceptional. (Sadly I didn’t get her name) She was super friendly and smiling the whole time. The bar was out of a few bottles of alcohol so she came back to us a few times to figure out our drink order. Although they were really busy she was attentive to every customer and never stopped smiling. Her attitude made my evening and he English was flawless.

Verrukkelijke pizza's en goede sfeer in restaurant.De muziek ging hoe later op de avond..... hoe harder.De tiramisu was zalig !!Alleen de toegangsdeur van de toiletten kon niet dicht, was wat ongemakkelijk.

Really good pizza, the size is huge and quality of ingredients is high!Before the pizza we ordered a fritto misto for 11,50€ and we got 4 or 5 pieces in total (1 per type), that I think it’s overpriced but I would definitely go back!
